The kids pretended to be construction workers! Thanks to Gerrett and Tucker for bringing some extra hats, goggles, and vests....safety first! |
Everyone had a chance at all of Ms. Michelle's fine motor centers. |
Beau was able to carefully place wooden pieces on the clown to make him balance. |
Tucker enjoyed 'feeding' the pig! |
Joseph made squares and triangles with rubber bands. |
The favorite center involved using tongues to pick up and sort insects. |
The kids are loving this theme....and when they love it, so do we! Actually, Ms. Ellen is learning quite a deal about construction vehicles herself! Who knew there were so many names......excavator, bulldozer, back hoe, front-end loader......I can no longer get away with calling them all 'diggers'. I'm learning.....
This morning we used a cool 'crane' and building under construction to help us synthesis and manipulate sounds in words that contain three sounds. The kids have made so much progress!
See the above pictures for all the fun we had with Ms. Michelle!
After OT, we headed out for a spring walk. We miss our playground time on Tuesday (due to OT), so a walk gave us some fresh air!
When we returned we ate lunch, then read our story....quite a mixed-up schedule, but the boys took it all in stride! Our fabulous book, pictured below, taught us all about the process of building a road. The kids wanted to look for the stripe in the road- help them do this on your drive to school tomorrow!
