Day 8: Happy Thursday!

We performed our puppet show for the preschool today and even have it videotaped. Hopefully, we will be able to have a family viewing soon! According to Murphy's Law, I should have taped the dress rehearsal. Your kids brought their puppets home today, which they were very excited to do!

To practice one-to-one correspondence, the kids each counted out plastic frogs to put on their lily pads. Each lily pad had a number so I was able to individualize the instruction for each child. I was also able to observe which of the written numbers they recognize. Our reward was to make the frogs jump when we were all done counting.

The kids were mesmerized with "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" as we watched a different rendition of it on the computer. We worked on story retelling by pausing at certain points and saying what was going to happen next.

We ended the day with our preschool friends, playing musical instruments. Did I mention that they were loud? I think the drum was the favorite. This teacher needs some quiet time tonight!
