GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS

Beau was our official 'page turner' on the computer as we listened to/followed along with our story, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We paused between each page to answer questions about 'who, what, where' and an occasional 'why'.

After making props for the story, the kids retold the story with great enthusiasm. I was very impressed. I am hoping for their individual books to be returned on Monday as they will be telling the story to each other.

Our game today was moving cotton balls on a spoon one at time from one container to another container all the way across the room. We cheered each other on as we moved all the way across the room. If someone dropped a cotton ball, we encouraged him to pick it up and keep going!

Using the cotton balls again, we made 'p' sounds to blow them off of our hands. Before the kids could blow the cotton ball, they were given a word and asked if it began with the sound 'p' (not the letter). Since we like cotton balls so much, we glued them to paper that had a large letter 'p' on it.

Try as we did to work 'frog math' at the end of the day, we were all just too worn out to focus very much. Instead, we had quiet book time. I love seeing the kids sharing their books and talking about the pictures together.

Have a great weekend! Pictures to come (I am SO impressed with myself that I can upload pictures now!)
