ImaginOn!

What a fun day in TK!  The preschool headed out this morning for a day of fun language learning at ImaginOn.  ImaginOn is such a wonderful place- once we made the reservation, they even called us to ensure that the lesson would meet the needs of our little learners!

We slowly walked to the train station and just missed the train.  No worries- we waited a few minutes and another one arrived.  We're pros at riding the train now- no problems!

Ms. Cynthia was our special storyteller today.  She even brought Boardmaker pictures for our schedule.  She read us three stories- starting with The Whistle on the Train- a take off on the wheels on the bus.  She half-read and half-sang this cute story, and the kids joined in.  She had heard we were riding the train.

Ms. Cynthia's friend, Felt Froggie joined us.  She told the story of Froggie, who kept playing in the snow but forgetting clothing, resulting in having to take everything off and start over.  By the middle of the story, the kids were assisting with the storytelling.

She also read to us about snow using two books:  The Snowy Day (Keats) and Snow, Snow, Snow by Lee Harper.  These books were great stories read by a great storyteller!  Ms. Cynthia also sang some songs and blew bubbles with us.  Thank you Ms. Cynthia for being a perfect host for our special outing!

A big thanks to the parents who joined us- it certainly helps when crossing streets, boarding trains, and going to the potty!  We couldn't do it without you!

Tomorrow we will make snowmen using shaving cream!  Be prepared for messy, but good-smelling kids!
