Invasion of the Girls!

CMS is out today, so the daughter arrived!  Ms. Carol brought her three girls: Margot, Lea, and Annie (ages 9-17).  My daughter, Hope tagged along, too.  OK, Ms. Carol declares that she did more than 'tag along'- she lead a story and a sensory center.  Bossiness comes naturally to Hope, so it's a good fit.

When all four of the girls were there, we separated into four sensory centers, letting each girl lead a boy in a sensory activity.  It was great!  The girls were all wonderful leaders and the boy had so much doing physical work!  Centers included tug-of-war, wall push, lifting weights, and 'bag drag (pulling each other in a large Ikea bag).  What a fun way to work off some steam!

Today we read 'When It Starts to Snow' by Phillis Gershator, an adorable story about animals and where they go and what they do when it starts to snow.  Following the reading, we used a Bridge Map to help us organize the information we read.  See the post below and have your child use their own Bridge Map (on the back of their journal) to tell you about the animals and their snow habits!

Joseph's older sister, baby sister and mother joined us for lunch today.....MORE GIRLS!

Forget the pink, the tutus and the 'little teachers'.....the TK is back to ALL boys tomorrow!
