Today's story: Snowballs by Lois Ehlert.
Using a Flow Map (image below), we learned the process for making our snowpeople. We used coffee filters for the biggest circle and tore white paper to make the smaller two circles. Tearing was really hard- the tears just didn't seem to go where the kids wanted! With such great fine motor skills, we've made a note to include tearing in our activities again soon. With assistance the circles (or semi-circles, in some cases) turned out great- well......at least they look authentically asymmetrical! After recess, Ms. Carol helped us glue our collage materials. We think the end results are ADORABLE!
Thank you to our parents for helping us with the supplies!
Evan brought in a cute book that teaches comparatives and superlatives. We've talked about it all week.....big.....biggER......biggEST, so this book was a great way to review. Thanks Evan!
Monday will be a little crazy! CMS is out, so my daughter, Hope will be joining us. Ms. Carol's three older girls will stop by, too. Wow- we're not used to so many girls! It's going to be fun. Have a great weekend.
